Welcome to the Adonai Arts Academy Theatre Department (simply called Adonai Theatre) – providing a stage where growth and creativity always take the spotlight.

From its inception, our theatre program has grown into a vibrant tapestry of artistic expression. In 2021, we enthusiastically welcomed T. Josiah Haynes as our Theatre Director, igniting a new era of theatrical brilliance.

Spring 2022 witnessed the enchanting performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream, helmed by Creative Director Wendy Morrison and produced by Haynes. Audiences were captivated, witnessing our young performers' immense talent and dedication.

As the seasons changed and leaves fell in Fall 2022, Adonai Theatre transported audiences into the world of Sherlock Holmes & the Mystery of the Opera House Killer, unraveling a captivating mystery play directed by Creative Director Poem Bokoles, written by Bokoles, her husband, and Haynes. The community’s response exceeded expectations, fostering an ever-growing interest in our theatrical productions.

In Spring 2023, the spotlight shone brightly on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, orchestrated with finesse and flair by Creative Director Rebeka Rosales and produced once more by Haynes.

Adonai Theatre’s first ever musical and biggest ever production, Annie Jr., was seen by our largest ever audiences! The talented cast and crew brought this beloved classic to life.

Spring 2024 will see Shakespeare’s As You Like It come to a non-traditional stage, still at 510 Woodland Street. Rebeka Rosales is excited to return to direct this classic Shakespearean comedy, set post-WWII and with a circus theme in certain sections.

Come and be a part of our theatrical journey, where every production unfolds a new chapter of growth and creativity. Adonai Theatre – where the magic of the stage meets the hearts of our audience.
