Adonai Arts Academy offers several dance classes, and at several locations. Ballet is a mainstay at Adonai Arts Academy, but we also teach other dance styles, such as Contemporary Worship and Tap. For our full class listing, visit our database, The Studio Director.

Mommy & Me Ballet
Mommy & Me Ballet class is for students ages 2 to 3. It is a fun-filled class blending dance and imagination.
Students are introduced to class structure and movement fundamentals. They enjoy this creative experience with a parent close by.
Together, mothers and children will focus on movement, stretching, counting, hand-eye coordination, and other basic ballet techniques — excellent for early childhood development and building self-confidence.
Added benefits for mom include increased flexibility, balance, and dance appreciation.
Pre-Ballet class is for students ages 3 to 4. Pre-Ballet is a fun-filled class blending, music, and imagination.
Students are introduced to a class structure providing coordination exercises and rhythm. They enjoy this creative experience as they begin to explore their independence.
Students will focus on dance movement, stretching, counting, hand-eye coordination, and other basic ballet techniques which are great for early childhood development and building self-confidence.
Ballet I/II class is for students ages 5 to 7. Ballet I/II is a continuation in the syllabus of a comprehensive ballet education.
Still growing the foundation of classical ballet, students will continue to expand their ballet vocabulary. A focus on the use of feet, arms, and proper body alignment begins to take on a bigger role.
Ballet & TAP I/II
Ballet & Tap I/II class is for students ages 5 to 7. This is an introduction to classical ballet and tap technique. Students will expand their ballet vocabulary and learn basic tap steps as they grow in confidence and body awareness.
Ballet & Tap I/II is a fun-filled introductory course!
Ballet III/IV classes are for students ages 8 to 11.
Ballet III continues to build on prior knowledge and introduces more technical aspects. Simple turns and petit allegro are introduced in this level.
Ballet IV students will begin to work more extensively on broadening their dance vocabulary and repertoire.
Ballet & Tap III/IV
Ballet & Tap III/IV is for students ages 8 to 11. This class continues to build on developed skills and knowledge from previous classes.
Students will learn more complex movements and combinations for both ballet and tap, in addition to developing their individual artistry and technique.
Ballet V/VI is for dancers ages 12 and up. This class is by placement only.
Ballet V/VI students will continue to grow and build on foundations from previous classes. Dancers in this level begin work on extensions of the leg, more complex turns, petit allegro, grande allegro, as well as purifying their overall technique and strength.

Contemporary Worship III/IV
Contemporary Worship III/IV is for ages 8 to 11. In this class, dancers will learn how to express praise and worship through movement.
Dancers will be introduced to contemporary styles of dance, as well as develop individual skills to praise the Lord through dance.
Contemporary Worship V/VI is for ages 12 and up. This class is by placement only.
This class will focus on developing skills that promote connection to God through worshipful music and dance.
Dancers will grow in contemporary dance and movement techniques with an emphasis on using these skills toward a spiritual purpose.
Pointe ballet class is by placement only.
Dancers seeking to take pointe will enroll for the Ballet V/VI & Pointe class. Pointe work will be combined as part of this 90 minute class. Placement en pointe is determined by the Dance Director.

Adult Ballet Worship
Adult Ballet Worship class is offered Wednesdays 5 to 6 PM. Veteran instructor Serenity Vanderschoot will lead students ages 18 and up in worshipful movement.
This class provides adults with the ability to worship God through skilled movement.
